Parents and carers of children aged two to five are being encouraged to make sure their child gets the free flu vaccine this winter.
Given as a painless nasal spray, the vaccine not only helps protect children but can also help prevent them spreading the virus to more vulnerable family members and friends over the winter months.
Invitation appointment letters for two to five-year-old pre-school children were sent to homes in Ayrshire from September. Parents and carers whose children have missed their appointment, or have been given an appointment that’s not suitable, can attend a Childhood Vaccination Team drop-in session
