Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher returns to ITV

It's only been four years since Bernie Winter arrived in Weatherfield, but it's fair to say she's a favourite among Coronation Street fans. Jane Hazlegrove took on the role in 2019. At the time, the character was described as an 'old raver who still sees herself as a free spirit'.

Coronation Street star Jude Riordan has captured the hearts of fans everywhere after he paid a sweet and heartfelt message to his father, Emmerdale star Paul Riordan, as part of a poignant Father’s Day message this week. The 12 year old youngster, who is known to many fans for playing Sam Blakeman, the son of Nick Tilsely on the cobbles, took a break from filming his upcoming scenes to honour his dear dad, who it turns out, previously also worked on Coronation Street himself! Taking to social media to celebrate Father’s Day, Jude’s account (which is run by his mum) shared two adorable images of Paul and Jude together as they marked the special occasion, as Jude adorably dubbed his dad “the best.” One of the photos, which featured a sweet throwback to Jude’s early start in life as an adorable baby, was accompanied by the caption: "HFD to all, especially the best @paulrio27 #happyfathersday #thebest.” While a second image revealed Jude alongside his dad and older brother, all dressed smartly in their finest outfits ahead of a glamorous night out.

As Kim and Gabby (Rosie Bentham) slowly accepted that Jamie had died, it became apparent that it was all fake, as he was alive and living with Hazel, Andrea Tate’s mother.

Emmerdale actor Asan N'Jie has managed to land an exciting new role in a Disney movie, four years after he was axed from the ITV soap.The former Ellis Chapman star, whose role was taken over by Aaron Anthony in the months after the incident, abruptly left the Dales after he allegedly threatened to stab fellow actor Jamie Lomas, 48, during the TV Choice Awards in 2019. Asan, 28, was caught on video in the hallways shouting and threatening rival soap star Jamie, who has previously been in Channel 4 rival Hollyoaks, as the pair got into a row.

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) at Jacobs Fold, and over the years we’ve seen the character involved in some hard-hitting storylines to do with her health, culminating in a heart transplant in 2018 after chemotherapy for cancer caused heart failure. Perhaps because of her own battles with her health, Sarah formed a poignant part of Faith (Sally Dexter)’s story when Faith discovered her own cancer had returned and was terminal. Sarah joined Faith in making the most of the time she had left and shared some poignant scenes.

Emmerdale star Katie Hill revealed hopes of a new career direction. The actress, who plays Sarah Sugden in the ITV soap, took part in an Instagram Stories Q&A where a fan asked her if she felt like she could start a singing career after leaving Emmerdale. In response, Hill confirmed that she could definitely see a music career in her future, writing: "I'm currently working on making some music which I'm hoping to release some time in the future".
