Emmerdale's Caleb Milligan confirmed his mother's identity on Friday night's episode after his dad was revealed to be Frank Tate in an explosive twist on Thursday. Only recently, it was revealed that loveable Home Farm nanny Nicky is Caleb's son, whichviewers had predicted, and Frank was Caleb's dad. And during Friday's episode, Caleb, who is out to bring down his dad's ex-wife Kim Tate and win back his birthright Home Farm, shared his plans to son Nicky.
With Caleb’s father now confirmed to be Frank, fans had been asking whether or not his mother really was Faith Dingle - or if this was another lie. Given the timing of his arrival, Faith had sadly already lost her battle with breast cancer by the time he returned to the village, meaning it was impossible for Faith to either confirm or deny that he was her child. However, during Friday's episode, Caleb confirmed that his mother was in fact Faith.
Nicky said: "How can you stand it, hanging out and being all pally with Cain and the rest of them. You said it was your biggest regret not getting to know your dad until it was too late. If Cain hadn't of lied to you, maybe things might have been different?" To which Caleb said: "Yeah, well, Faith can't have been that interested in finding me? Anyway, Dingles have been nothing but kind to me since I got here.
I don't have a problem with them", appearing to confirm that Faith is in fact his mother. Viewers will recall that earlier this year, in a flashback episode, it was revealed Caleb was born in prison and put into care. Later in life, Caleb had reached out to his long-lost brother, Cain, but he cruelly told him that their mother, Faith, was already dead despite the fact she was alive at the time.
