Emmerdale fans have said it's 'about time' as they reacted to an appearance by Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean. The ice skating legends filmed scenes for the ITV soap at Planet Ice in Leeds last month before getting their own moment in the famous Woolpack.
Jayne and Chris, who are set to return to the Dancing on Ice judging panel in January, were sought by Leyla Cavangh, to whom they owed a favour following a wedding in Mykonos, and roped them into helping Belle Dingle propose to Tom King after it was revealed he was a bit of a fan of the duo.
The Olympic legends performed their gold medal-winning Bolero routine in front of Tom's very eyes before Belle appeared and dropped to bended knee to ask her boyfriend to marry her after she turned him down back in October.

After Tom, played by James Chase, said 'yes', he was offered congratulations by Jayne and Chris before they agreed to pose for a selfie with him and take him for a spin around the ice. They then headed to the Woolpack to join the celebrations before being ushered off by Leyla.
But it didn't come without them planning another visit as Chris appeared to hint at wanting an inivte to the wedding. Meanwhile, Emmerdale fans were flocking to social media to react to the surprise celebrity appearance.
