After being rumbled, Mack slept on the sofa of his sister Moira Dingle's as she berated him for his actions, fuming: "Do you have any decency?" Mack attempted to defend himself, telling Moira that the fling with Chloe was around the time that Charity lost their own baby, as he said: "I thought we had broken up." It seems that Mack was hoping for a reunion with Charity when she dropped by the house later in the episode, but he was devastated to discover that she had no intention of working things out, as she placed her wedding ring in his hand, and told him: "I never want to see you again."
