Emmerdale releases new logo for 50th anniversary as ITV soap teases 'exciting' storylines
Emmerdale sent fans wild on Tuesday as it released the new logo for its 50th anniversary.The ITV soap will celebrate 50 years on 16 October after the first-ever episode aired in 1972.Taking to Twitter, Emmerdale released the new logo and teased: "Our birthday year has begun! Watch out for lots of exciting things happening later in the year, but for now we’re excited to reveal our birthday logo." While Tony Pipes, Executive Creative Director of ITV Creative, said in a statement: "It's always a pleasure to be part of such an iconic brand’s history and with that, our logo nods to Emmerdale’s heritage, keeping its classic look, with an elegant celebratory 50 that timelessly spans the decades from when the show was born to this very special year."
