Viewers at home saw Kim, who is played by Tameka Empson, enjoying a wild joy ride with Denzel after she won an award for being the top East End influencer - a win which bagged her the new motor as a prize.
Delighted by her success, Kim soon took to the roads with Denzel sat beside her, but after being distracted by a suspicious text on her phone, the redhead lost control of the car and crashed front first into the Argee Bhajee. Emergency services immediately rushed to the scene, with police and ambulance crews trying to pull Kim and Denzel to safety from the wreckage.
In nail biting scenes, an unconscious Denzel was raced to hospital, while a bewildered Kim appeared to be in a complete daze about what happened - yet crucially, she lied to police about what had transpired in the hope of saving her own skin. In scenes that left many fans fuming, Kim claimed that someone had jumped in front of her car, rather than admitting she was at fault for driving while checking her phone.
