EastEnders fans fear for Stacey’s safety as Theo’s obsessive behaviour escalates

EastEnders fans have shared their fears for the safety of Walford staple Stacey Slater this week, after her stalker Theo Hawthorne’s obsessive behaviour took an even darker turn. As regular viewers will know, Theo has secretly been paying Stacey for her work as a cam girl and attempted to insert himself into her life as a means to get closer to her.
In order to avoid suspicion, Theo began to tutor Stacey’s pregnant daughter Lily, all while continuing to make sure he was constantly in her life. Over the course of the past several weeks, Theo’s behaviour has gradually begun to get more and more obsessive, with gifts and messages even sent to her home in a gesture, which clearly spooked Stacey as it meant her identity wasn’t a secret.
However, things took an even darker turn on Thursday’s visit to Albert Square, when Stacey asked Theo to stop tutoring Lily so that she could experience some of her teenage freedom instead of studying every day during the school holidays. Playing the part of an understanding teacher, Theo agreed that this was the best course of action and told Stacey that he respected and accepted her decision as it was all about “what was best for Lily.” Yet despite his airs and graces, Theo was silently fuming and later let his rage get the better of him when he broke into Stacey’s home and trashed her bedroom, including slashing all of the sultry outfits she had purchased to wear for her cam girl sessions.
When Stacey later returned home to find her sanctuary ransacked, the mum was understandably shaken by the ordeal and even turned to Theo for support as she no longer felt safe in her home.
