EastEnders fans baffled by Whitney Dean's 'final scenes' as Zack leaves her behind

BBC EastEnders viewers were left scratching their heads after watching Whitney Dean's (Shona McGarty) apparent 'final scenes' on the soap. Shona is set to bid farewell to Albert Square and her character Whitney very soon after 15 years on the soap.
But in the meantime, Whitney's been visiting her mum, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer), along with her boyfriend, Zack Hudson (James Farrar) in Milton Keynes. However, during the episode on Tuesday 5 March, fans were left wondering if they had just watched Whitney's final moments on the show.
This confusion arose as Zack decided he wanted to return to Walford and find work before their baby comes into the world.
Earlier in the show, Whitney had returned home after being hit by a car while attempting to save teenager Britney. After becoming close, Whitney became determined to care for Britney, but Zack wants her to concentrate on their child.
Some viewers are sure that these could be the last scenes we see of Whitney on the beloved soap and fear she'll be staying in Milton Keynes rather than making a return to Walford. One fan penned: "So is that Whitney's final episode then because I thought this whole two part special thing was about her exit and whilst I can see where it's going how long is it gonna be before we get anywhere with it." Another wrote: "So Whitney basically got hit by a car for dramatic effect? Or to prove that she won't put this baby first? Or to cause an argument between her and Zack?
