Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) benefit claimants could receive a £390 monthly boost if they have a certain health condition.
The limited capability for work and work-related activity (LCWRA) provides a top-up for those on Universal Credit. This covers those with a health condition or disability that makes them unable to work.
What's better is that the boost will soon be worth £416 a month following an uprate in April. According to the DWP, 1.4 million out of two million UC claimants were placed into the LCWRA group and received the top-up between January 2022 and November 2023, the Mirror reports.

The LCW top up is only available to those placed into that group before April 2017. The DWP issued a list on what conditions people had when undertaking the work capability assessment, as well as how many experienced said conditions:
Of the 1.2 million assessed, around 69 per cent were recorded as having a mental health disorder. Meanwhile, 90 per cent of claimants were classed as having a LCW while having a mental health condition.
