Video footage captured the dramatic moment a fire tore through a terraced house in Cheetham Hill.
The clip was taken as a blaze broke out inside a property on Hawkeshead Road in the early hours of this morning (Monday). It showed flames rising from the roof of the house as a huge plume of black smoke billowed into the sky.
Neighbours who were woken by the fire watched on as emergency services flooded onto the residential street. A cordon was put in place by police officers as fire crews rushed to the scene at around 2am.

Four fire engines responded as well as a Technical Response Unit. The flames were hosed down before the scene was 'made safe'.
It has not yet been confirmed whether anyone was injured in the fire, or whether any arrests were made. This morning, one fire engine remained at the scene with an area around the house still taped off.
A police officer was pictured standing guard at the scene. Pictures showed the roof of the house left burnt out with debris from the fire left strewn across the pavement in front.
One photo also showed some charred silver cylinders and metal in front of the property. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At 2am this morning (Monday 19 September) firefighters were called to reports of a fire involving a property on Hawkeshead Road, Manchester.
"Four fire engines were quickly mobilised, alongside a hydraulic platform and the Technical Response Unit from Ashton. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, before supporting emergency service colleagues in making the scene safe."
