Denise Fox (Diane Parish) is in a terrible state in EastEnders spoilers - she has hallucinations of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) and goes to visit her killed ex Lucas Johnson (Don Gilet). Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) realises that Denise is experiencing psychosis and tries to get her to see a doctor after recognising the symptoms. Ricky Branning (Frankie Day) is convinced Denise is having a breakdown when he overhears her saying strange things, but Amy insists she just needs to sleep.
However, Denise heads to the only person she thinks can help. She visits her ex-husband and convicted killer, Lucas, in prison. But even Lucas is worried about what Denise says.
Later, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) is taken aback when Lucas later rings him to share his fears. Meanwhile, Denise is convinced she has to get away from Walford and drives off with Amy Mitchell (Amelie Conway) in the car. As they reach a wooded area, Denise gets out of the car and disappears into the darkness, leaving a distraught Amy alone.
Back on the Square, the residents form a search party to try and find Denise and Amy. Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) is reeling after Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) recent revelations. Full of guilt and remorse, he promises to get his mum sober, and Linda vows that she wants to.
As word reaches residents that Denise is missing, Linda becomes rattled while Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) is adamant the women are going to find a way out of their mess. Suki insists to Stacey that the women need to rally around Denise and look after her in shifts if that’s what it takes to protect their secret. Overcome by the revelations about his family, George Knight (Colin Salmon) can’t open up to Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe).
