Due to their roles as hosts of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have never been able to take part – but that hasn't stopped them from giving the iconic Celebrity Cyclone a go.
The fan-favourite Bushtucker trial sees the final four celebs attempt to climb a slippery slop and then remain in place with a giant star - but with wind machines, giant balls and paint bombs it's certainly not as easy as it sounds. Something Saturday Night Takeaway host Dec discovered when he was left needing six months of physio after sustaining a serious injury while attempting the trial.
Back in 2022, the presenting duo discussed their attempt at the challenge, as Ant said: "We're doing the Celebrity Cyclone today. It's always fun to do, but it takes a while to do. "It takes a long time to get everything set up and get all the paint bombs set up and all the sludge and the slime.
Yeah, it takes a long time but it is fun, the most fun. "Everybody who watches the show always wants to give it a go. We've actually done it in the past.
We've done the trial. We did it for charity years ago, didn't you pop your shoulder?" To which Dec responded: "Yeah I did. I ended up in physio for six months afterwards.
But it was great fun." Back in 2012, viewers saw Ant and Dec take part in the challenge in order to raise money for charity event Text Santa. The pair were challenged to raise a mammoth £100,000 for the charity causes, by taking part in the Celebrity Cyclone. And despite Dec's injury, they did manage to succesfully bag the money This Saturday (13 April) will see the final episode of Ant And Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, with the duo deciding to take a break from presenting to spend time with their families.
