Kris Marshall, who starred in Death in Paradise, has spoken up about the cancellation of an ITV drama he starred in. The 50 year old actor starred in ITV's Sanditon, based on an unfinished Jane Austen novel, after making a name for himself in BBC's Death in Paradise. He said: "It is the first show I've been on that has been cancelled, then reinstated." Fans of Sanditon in the United States had a big role to play in bringing the show back on screen, organising an impressive campaign to ensure its return, reports the Mirror.
In Kris' words: "The fans did that after it took off in America, organising an incredible campaign to bring the show back." Thankfully, Kris was given two more opportunities to play Tom Parker, an entrepreneur with grand plans to turn Sanditon into a posh seaside destination. But while the Austen drama has finished, fans of Kris' can watch him in the second series of the Death in Paradise spin-off, Beyond Paradise. Kris continues his role as DI Humphrey Goodman, as the show follows his love story with Martha Lloyd (played by Sally Bretton) as they plan to expand their family.
