Almost three million Scots have cut back spending on food and groceries as a result of increasing energy costs, according to advice charity Citizens Advice Scotland.

A convicted Scots sex offender wanted in connection with the death of his partner has been placed on the Crimestoppers’ Most Wanted list. Richard Scatchard is being hunted by police after 61-year-old Kelly Faiers was found dead in his home in Minehead, Somerset, on October 15.
A major manhunt was launched after officers went to question him about the alleged murder - but found the property empty. It was later revealed that Scatchard, who also uses the surname Dunlop, has previously been convicted of sexual offences which saw him administer drugs to his victims.
Investigators say the 70-year-old dating app user is considered “a risk to the public, specifically women he forms relationships with” and is wanted on recall to prison. Crimestoppers is now offering a reward of up to £10,000 for anyone who provides them with information that leads to his arrest.
A statement from the charity said: “We are offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information given exclusively to our charity that leads to the arrest of Richard Scatchard.
“Scatchard, a convicted sex offender, is wanted for questioning over a murder in Minehead, Somerset and has been added to our list of Most Wanted. He is 70-years-old and is originally from Scotland.

“The public are advised not to approach Scatchard, but to contact our charity anonymously if they know where he is hiding.” Karen MacDonald, Crimestoppers West Country Regional Manager, added: “This man is dangerous and needs to be found urgently.
