A council is threatening to take a woman to court after she refused to comply with an order to take down floodlights and move vehicles from her own driveway. But homeowner Jenny Cummings has branded the move 'pathetic', saying: "We're not doing anything wrong."
Jenny, 44, moved to the property in South Wales in February 2021 with her husband and two of their children. They initially had some work done on their house.
Jenny said this resulted in a dispute with their neighbour which led to several complaints being lodged with Newport City Council.

"When we first moved in we wanted to renovate and put an extension," she told WalesOnline. "We had planning, health and safety etc out and it was all fine. We moved into a property three years ago and had problems with our neighbours, who have reported us to the council."
Jenny said the issues have escalated and resulted in she and her husband being given an enforcement order by Newport City Council asking them to stop parking vehicles they use for their vehicle recovery company on their driveway at Grey House Farm in St Brides Wentlooge.
Jenny said the council is accusing the couple of operating the vehicle recovery firm from their home, but she says this has never been the case. "We generally park two vehicles - sometimes a truck, sometimes a van - from the recovery company," she said. "They are the size of vans, not huge HGVs, which we would actually have room for [in our driveway].
"We've been told it is because my husband goes out at all hours of night. Now and again there might be a job that comes in between 7 and 7am, but it is only my

There have been countless books written about the immortal star, Elizabeth Taylor, even some credited to her as both memoir or autobiography including 1989’s “Elizabeth On Elizabeth”. But a book released on January 1, 1965 probably comes closest to a pure autobiography, and looking at the cover it simply says “Elizabeth Taylor by Elizabeth Taylor”. It is a by the numbers account of her life through her own words up until that point, but the fact is it was actually written by Richard Meryman, a journalist credited with among other things the last interview with Marilyn Monroe (published two days before her August 4, 1962 death). Meryman got Taylor to sit for some taped recorded sessions in 1964 out which he would be able to write the book as if Taylor did it herself. Now exactly 60 years later those presumed “lost” tape recordings have been found and cleared for release by Taylor’s and Meryman’s estates. They have been in fact in Meryman’s wife’s possession all these years, but now filmmaker Nanette Burstein (Hillary, The Kid Stays In The Picture) has rediscovered a treasure trove of about 40 hours of interview in order to produce the new HBO Documentary, Elizabeth Taylor: The Lost Tapes“.
