Corrie spoilers – residents come to terms with Stephen's actions and Ryan takes huge step

The residents of Coronation Street are trying to come to terms with Stephen's crimes, the show's spoilers have revealed. Last week, serial killer Stephen Reid reached his end after the residents worked out what he had been doing for months.
Knowing that the walls were closing in on him after the body of one of his victims was recovered, Stephen stole a quarter of a million pounds from Underworld, and tried to head to the airport to escape before the police got to him. However, as he went to check in for his flight, his passport was missing and he was forced to make his way back to the street to look for it.
In the Rovers Return, he ended up attacking his niece, Sarah Barlow and his partner, Jenny Connor. He confessed all of his crimes to Jenny before putting a bottle to her neck and taking her outside so the residents of the street could watch.
Stephen demanded that his nephew David Platt go and get his car so he could escape, but as made he his way over to the car holding the broken bottle to Jenny’s neck, Peter Barlow hit him with his cab.
The impact killed Stephen, leaving the street rocked and Stephen’s mum, Audrey Roberts, blamed Peter for killing her son. Now, on Monday, 16 October, it is time for the residents to get their heads around what happened on their doorstep, but with so many questions left unanswered, will they recover? Elsewhere, it is time for Ryan Conner to give his talk at the STC, but just as the big moment approaches, he tells teacher Daniel Osbourne that he has cold feet.
