Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) and his new husband Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) have been going through a tough time lately, specifically surrounding their sex life.
Paul has been dealing with a heartbreaking Motor Neurone Disease (MND) diagnosis on the show, which is a condition that affects the brain and nervous system, causing symptoms like muscle weakness and slurred speech. Fans were saddened to learn recently that Paul's condition has worsened significantly, with recent tests showing he only has months left to live.
With his condition getting worse, Corrie fans have witnessed him become mostly wheelchair-bound and Billie has been having his own issues with erectile dysfunction.
Their intimate life appeared to be non-existent for a while but they started to get it back on track as they were seen semi-naked on the sofa last week and joked about their bedroom antics. Paul joked that Billy never used his muscles, and his husband playfully replied: "You weren't saying that 10 minutes ago.” The scenes didn’t go down too well with viewers as Ofcom received 52 complaints after the episode aired.
OK! has contacted Ofcom for comments surrounding the soap’s complaints.
