Coronation Street star Jude Riordan appeared to be feeling a bit emotional as he shared two family updates. The young actor took to his social media account, which is safely managed by his mum, ahead of his upcoming break.
Jude, who is known for playing Sam Blakeman in the ITV soap, said 'goodbye' on Instagram last month as he marked the start of his summer holiday by sharing his plans for the next few weeks after finishing off his first year at secondary school.
Revealing what he'll be up to, he typed around it "chill", "film", "hang [with] mates" and the most epic plan of all - "go to NYC". It is then that he asked his fans and followers for recommendations when it comes to visiting the Big Apple. And weeks later, the trip is now a matter of days away.

And Jude couldn't have been happier as it also meant his director dad, Paul Riordan, was heading back home ready for the big break after being away for work. Sharing an old snap of the pair sharing an embrace, Jude wrote on his Instagram Story: "Dad is on his way home! Another Casualty done and another 3 months of being away done... ALMOST HOLIDAY TIME."
Then on Saturday (August 12), the 12-year-old took to Instagram where he shared a string of snaps of one of his adorable pet pooches. "My little pal is one today," Jude typed alongside the post.
He then added, admitting to feeling a bit emotional about how they were adorably marking the occasion: "Happy Birthday Rufus. He's having a pawty with all his siblings and Doggy Mummy. I think I'll cry. I'll take pics and share on stories." And his fans and followers kindly inundated the post with birthday wishes for little Rufus.
