Coronation Street's Rebecca Ryan reveals 'normal job' after soap exit and it's a nod to first child

Former Coronation Street star Rebecca Ryan has revealed her 'normal job' after leaving the soap and becoming a first-time mum. The actress, who played bunny boiler Lydia Chambers in thrilling scenes with Adam and Sarah Barlow in the ITV soap last year, announced her baby's arrival in May.
She confirmed the news that she had welcomed a baby girl before sharing her princess-inspired name. Rebecca, who revealed in December 2022 that she was expecting a baby with her husband Dan Acraman, shared at the time: "Welcome to the world my beautiful baby girl Aurora," next to a photo of her tiny bundle of joy lying on snuggly blankets.
The post was quickly flooded with congratulatory messages from Rebecca's former Corrie co-stars, followers and fans. Harriet Bibby, who plays Summer Spellman, wrote: "Congratulations Rebecca! She is absolutely beautiful!!" Elle Mulvaney, who plays Amy Barlow, gasped: "Omg. the cutest. so so happy for you." And her brother Jack James Ryan, who also starred in the show, said: "My new best mate."

And earlier this week Rebecca, who actually shot to fame as Debbie Gallagher in Channel 4 drama Shameless, shared an exciting career update with her online followers.
Taking to Instagram, Rebecca revealed she's retrained as a nail technician and added details for booking appointments with her. And she revealed she's named her new venture after her daughter, tagging @aurora_nails_bybex, where her followers can see her work.
