Coronation Street star Liam McCheyne, who plays young Dylan Wilson, has been caught up in a bullying storyline since he returned to the cobbles earlier this year.
The young actor, 16, made his debut as Dylan back in 2011 when he joined the hit ITV soap alongside his twin brother Connor when they were just three years old, he has played the role on and off since. In February this year, Dylan took a short break and returned in September - he is now thought to remain on the cobbles for a while with his latest storyline. Sharing how it felt to return to Corrie, Liam said: "It was a long wait, but it was worth the wait.
It’s been great to be back." The TV star went on to share that it was a "total fluke" on how he first appeared on the cobbles. Explaining this he said: "My neighbour across the road was on work experience for a local agency and she asked my mum if we would want to go and do an audition for her. She said even if we didn’t get it, it would help her with her work experience.
"My mum, dad and even nursery teachers all thought we would be too shy to do it. When we got here, and were in the casting, as soon as the cameras were on, we were like totally different children with our confidence and were laughing away." While his twin brother no longer acts, Liam realised he wanted to be an actor "forever" when he was around 13 or 14 years old, having taken on a string of other TV roles. Aside from Corrie, the 16 year old has starred in All Creatures Great and Small, Last Tango in Halifax, The Bay, Moving On and the TV movie Mother's Day.
