Coronation Street fans react as 'little cutie' makes first appearance

Eagled-eyed Coronation Street fans reacted after spotting an obvious change to the daughter of one of the soap's most popular characters. Viewers took to social media after spotting one of the children starring in the soap is now being played by a different person.
Corrie introduced the new child star to Friday's episode (August 11) after recasting the role of Ruby Dobbs. Ruby, the daughter of Tyrone Dobbs, featured in a new storyline as she shows off her talents in the Little Big Shotz auditions.
Billie Naylor has taken over the role and will be appearing in episodes for the foreseeable. And while the changeover has already been revealed, Friday's episode was the first time viewers were given a glimpse of the new actress.

Corrie fans were quick to comment to the change. @DonnatellaSpace tweeted: "Hello Ruby #2. Farewell Ruby #1. It was a pleasure to see her growing up on screen and wish her well for the future."
And @Clawmaw posted on Twitter during tonight's episode: "The new Ruby is a little cutie."
Macy Alabi, who played Ruby from the character's birth in 2012, filmed her final episode at the end of June. In Friday's episode, Ruby watched as her confident older sister Hope rehearses for the Little Big Shotz summer spectacular.
But Hope is shocked as after expecting to land the lead role, Glenda Shuttleworth announces that Ruby has in fact secured it. While Ruby is delighted, Hope is not impressed that she will be her younger sister's backing dancer.
