Avid Coronation Street viewers are over the moon as they can finally visit the set of the ITV soap once again. Coronation Street The Tour will make its much-welcomed return from Saturday March 12, as dedicated soap fans will get the chance to walk down the iconic cobbles and take in the sights of the other parts of the famous set.The tour has not been able to take place for the past two years because of Covid-19 restrictions, but general tickets are now available for select weekends throughout the rest of the year.
However, that’s all about to change as guests will now be able to enjoy a guided tour of the amazing external sets at Manchester’s MediaCityUK, including Coronation Street, Rosamund Street and Victoria Street. You can sign up at the top of the page.The 90-minute experience also includes the tour guides offering up lots of juicy behind the scenes secrets, as well as a fascinating look behind the cameras. Plus, there is time for everyone to get a special selfie of them on the Street and to soak up the sights of locations like the Rovers Return, Roys Rolls, Underworld and The Kabin.
Speaking about the tour’s return, which is operated by Continuum Attractions, the company’s General Manager, Steve Masters, said: “Even with all the drama unfolding on our screens over the last couple of years, those cobbles haven’t half been quiet and we’ve missed sharing them with all our guests!” He added: “But it’s going to be well worth the wait and we look forward to welcoming our first guests back on the street next month.” And soap fans couldn’t be happier that they can now visit the ITV soap again.
