Detectives in Glasgow have released CCTV images of two men who they believe could help with enquiries into an "unprovoked" serious assault in the city.
A 20-year-old was approached and attacked by two men on Garnet Street, near Sauchiehall Street in the city centre, between 1.55 and 2.15am on Tuesday April 12 this year. He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary after incurring what cops described as "serious but non-life-threatening injuries".
An appeal for information, with descriptions of the assailants, was launched in the hours after the attack by cops who say the incident was "unprovoked". Earlier on Wednesday officers released images of two men who are believed to hold information that is vital to the investigation into the attack.
The first male is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall with short dark hair. He was wearing a blue North Face jacket and black trousers, and has previously been suggested as speaking with a Glaswegian accent.
The second male is described as white, around 6ft tall, with dirty blonde hair and a distinctive beard, which was short at the sides and long in the middle. He was wearing glasses and dark coloured clothing at the time.
Members of the public who recognise either man or have any information relating to their identities have been urged to contact the police as soon as possible.
Detective Constable Larissa Cooper of City Centre Police Station, said: “I would urge the men pictured, or anyone who has information relating to them, to make contact with the police.

And yes, there’s actually a chance that “Spider-Man: No Way Home” will return to the No. 1 spot on domestic box office charts… roughly eight months after the superhero adventure swooped into cinemas and revived the theater industry. Sony is re-releasing the film — which has already grossed an astounding $804 million in North America and $1.9 billion globally — in 3,850+ theaters over Labor Day weekend, this time with a glorious 11 minutes of extra footage. Thank you, Peter Parker! How, pray tell, is it possible that last December’s release “Spider-Man: No Way Home” could end up presiding over domestic box office charts in the final stretch of summer? Well, it’s not that surprising if you consider the reality that studios have all but abandoned the big screen in August after ticket sales rebounded at the start of popcorn season. In the past few weeks, the moviegoing landscape has taken a drastic turn from dreary to downright desolate.
