A budding chef has shared a recipe for a malt loaf that is made using a cereal of your choice.
The woman, who goes by @amysheppardfood on TikTok, shared the recipe for this malt loaf that she said is "a cross between brownies and chocolate muffins".
Amy noted that you could use whichever cereal you wanted if you didn't to choose the name brand stuff. You can grab a box of Tesco's own-brand chocolate hoops for just 89p or Sainsbury's for 79p.
The chef said in the video: "I am going to show you something that is going to blow your mind. You can make an amazing chocolate cake using Weetos and a mug of hot chocolate.
"I've done a few different versions of this before, I've done a malt loaf using bran flakes, a tea loaf using honey nut cornflakes, but this one I think is my absolute favourite.
"So I swapped the bran flakes for Weetos, I swapped the raisins for some chopped up pieces of dark chocolate and I swapped the tea for a mug of hot chocolate.
"This will give you the easiest, most delicious and most chocolately tea cake you've ever had.
"You don't have to use Weetos in this, you can make it a bit cheaper by using any supermarket brand chocolate hoops. I think this is the perfect lazy weekend bake."
Place the cereal in a large mixing bowl. Pour over the hot chocolate and leave to soak for 20-30 mins until soggy.
Heat the oven to 180C and add the flour, sugar, syrup, baking powder and beaten egg to the cereal.
Chop up 100g of dark chocolate and add it to the bowl. Give it a really good stir until you have a thick cake batter.
Tip into a lined baking tin and bake in the oven for around 50 minutes or until cooked through. Slide a knife into the centre and if it comes out clean, it is cooked.
Leave to cool in the tin for 15 minutes
