Coleen Rooney has been refused permission to bring a High Court claim against Rebekah Vardy's agent.
Mrs Rooney's claim would have formed part of an ongoing legal battle between the footballers' wives over an online post.
In an October 2019 post, Mrs Rooney, 35, accused Mrs Vardy, 39, of leaking stories about her private life after a months-long “sting operation”.
The wife of former England and Manchester United star Wayne Rooney was quickly dubbed "Wagatha Christie" as she claimed Mrs Vardy had shared fake stories she posted on her personal Instagram account with The Sun newspaper.

Mrs Vardy, who is married to Leicester City striker Jamie, denies the accusations and is now suing Mrs Rooney for libel.
Last week private messages between Mrs Vardy and her PR and friend Caroline Watt were read out in court for the first time.
Mrs Vardy called Mrs Rooney a "nasty b***h" in the WhatsApp message which were disclosed ahead of the trial.
The messages also saw Mrs Vardy say it is "war" after Coleen Rooney publicly accused her fellow footballer’s wife of leaking stories to the press, the High Court heard.
Mrs Rooney's lawyers previously claimed that Mrs Vardy had leaked information to The Sun either directly or through her agent Ms Watt "acting on her instruction or with her knowing approval".
Mrs Rooney tried to bring a claim against Ms Watt for misuse of private information and during a hearing on Tuesday and Wednesday, asked for it to be joined to the libel claim.
Mrs Vardy's lawyers opposed the application to add the claim against Ms Watt to the libel case.
