Christian Horner has responded strongly to allegations of 'inappropriate behaviour', insisting he is continuing to work hard for his team despite the accusations.
The 50 year old head of Red Bull's F1 team is facing an internal investigation into the claims, while staunchly denying any wrongdoing. Despite all this, he appears to be thoroughly focused on preparing his team for the 2024 F1 season. He was recently seen at Silverstone, where he was checking out the team's new RB20 car.
He also joined Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, the team's drivers, at the official launch event held on Thursday, 15 November. When asked about the ongoing investigation, Christian – who is married to Spice Girl Geri Halliwell – declared his commitment to the team and dismissed any suggestion of leaving his position. Geri is believed to be 'standing by' her husband, while 'leaning on' Victoria Beckham.
Standing his ground, he said: "I'm confident in the process and working with the process. [I] deny absolutely any allegation that has been made against me and yeah, you know it's... I just continue to work within that process until it's concluded." When questioned if his role ever felt threatened, he responded decisively with: "No, not at all.
Absolutely not. I'm fully committed to this team, I've built this team, I've convinced people to come here and work here. I enjoy working with the team, with the people.
The biggest asset of the team is the people and that continues to be the case." "Look I'm absolutely committed to this team," Christian added.
