Girls Aloud sent music fans into a frenzy when they announced they were making a comeback after 11 years. But, as they’re set to take the UK and Ireland by storm with their hugely anticipated 20th anniversary tour, Cheryl has opened up on their 'disagreements'. During today's episode (April 11) of Scott Mills’ Radio 2 show, the 40 year old singer said: "No we don't do disagreements, we have differences in opinions." Cheryl is set to take the stage as a now-four-piece - following the death of bandmate Sarah Harding, 39, in 2021 following her battle with breast cancer - with Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle.
Since forming on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, the group shot to fame and achieved 20 Top 10 singles and five BRIT award nominations.
The band then took an initial break in 2009 to pursue other projects before they decided to split for good in 2013. Revealing the exciting news of their comeback on Instagram in November 2023, the post read: “We’re so excited to announce that we will be touring the UK & Ireland in May and June 2024. A celebration of Sarah, our music and our incredible fans.
We can’t wait to sing and dance with you all once again – Cheryl, Kimberley, Nadine & Nicola.” Their return, of course, will inevitably be tinged with sadness, as it will be the first time the quartet will tour without bandmate, Sarah. But, in the lead up to their shows, it seems the girls are determined to give Sarah her time to shine on the tour. And one thing's for sure, they won't be leaving out anything for fans.
