King Charles' Coronation plan has been "thrown into chaos" after Prince Harry missed the deadline on RSVP-ing and rehearsals ran late, it has been reported.Tensions are running high with less than three weeks to go before the historic event on 6 May, and it's said that organisers are concerned that the public could switch off if it goes on too long, after rehearsals overran "significantly". It's thought that seating plans have still not been finalised due to Prince Harry, 38, and Meghan Markle, 41, still having not confirmed their attendance, but it is believed that a decision is imminent.
Other fears include the possibility of King Charles stumbling over his long robes in front of huge TV audiences, which are expected to reach up to or in excess of 100million. There's also said to be concern over the Coronation route, with event organisers wanting a smaller route to "keep costs down and avoid scrutiny".
Another sticking point for organisers is believed to be confusion over whether women will wear tiaras into the church before the Queen Consort enters the Abbey. Prince Andrew is also said to be furious over a potential ban on wearing Garter Knight robes, now he is not an official senior member of the royal family.The Mirror reports that the King and Queen have been practicing for the big event in a “mock-up Abbey”, specially built inside Buckingham Palace.
