Chanelle Hayes has shared an incredibly honest photo of her stomach after undergoing weight loss surgery. The 36 year old Big Brother star, who had a gastric band procedure in 2020, has been documenting her journey to losing nine stone ever since.
Posting a close-up snap of her of tummy following the operation, which showed bruising and incision scars, Chanelle bravely chose to show the truth in just her underwear. During a Q&A with fans on her Instagram stories, the star responded to one of her followers' requests for advice on the surgery and body confidence.
"No, I've only ever felt positively about my WLS," Chanelle said. "It's different for everybody though but if you're feeling low I would definitely reach out to your healthcare provider or WLS company for support." Chanelle has been on a yo-yo journey with her weight over the years, weighing in at just 8.5 stone in 2009.
At the height of her fame following her stint in the Borehamwood bungalow, the fan-favourite admitted that she wasn't eating much and taking laxatives to maintain her figure.
The star also said that she was desperate to achieve a "WAG body" but after ballooning to 17 stone more than a decade later, she decided to go under the knife for a gastric sleeve operation in secret. Post lockdown, Chanelle has recovered her body confidence and the reality TV star shared a new video of herself in swimwear as she told her followers she was determined to "keep it real" on social media last week.
