Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star Ferne McCann has revealed she went into the Channel 4 show with the same mindset as giving birth to her daughter Sunday, four. Former TOWIE star Ferne, 32, is one of 14 celebrities faced with a brutal selection course run by the elite team of ex-special forces operators - Chief Instructor, Rudy Reyes, and his team of Directing Staff (DS), Foxy (Jason Fox), Billy (Mark Billingham) and Remi Adeleke.
Speaking ahead of the new series, which is the longest yet and airs on Sunday 4 September at 9pm, Ferne has discussed why she decided to sign up as well as her preparations for the show. Talking about joining, Ferne said: "It's a show that I've watched ever since the beginning.
And it's always been one of those shows that I always thought I’d like to do but when it came round for me to actually say yes, when I had the conversations and I had an interview and all of that, it just felt like the right time in my life to be tested. "I do really welcome a challenge.
I get that itch every few years where I'm like, 'Right, okay. What can I do now to step outside of my comfort zone?' "I had no expectations, but a lot of expectations at the same time, I knew it was going to be really tough, but I think until you're in that environment, nothing can quite prepare you for how ridiculously tough it actually is." Talking about whether she had "anything to prove", the reality star admitted: "I really wanted to prove to myself to be honest.
I kind of went into Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins with exactly the same mindset as when I was leading up to giving birth to my daughter, which sounds ridiculous. "But honestly, when you're in that environment and it's really challenging, you have to draw from experiences
