Detectives have released CCTV images of five men they would like to speak to after a motorbike owner was threatened with hammers during a terrifying armed robbery. The raid took place at a garage in Wilmslow on Monday afternoon.
Police say a man used an angle grinder to break the chain securing the Honda XL 250S bike, while another blocked a door preventing the owner from intervening. The gang then threatened the owner with hammers as he tried to stop them taking the motorbike, which was later abandoned.
One of the images released by Cheshire Police shows three masked men on a motorbike, while the other shows a man wearing a balaclava riding a red and black moped while carrying a passenger. The robbery took place at 4.40pm on Monday at The Paddock.
