Camilla, Queen Consort Pulls Out of Engagements After Testing Positive for COVID-19

King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla are set to visit France and Germany for the first state visits of his new reign, it has been announced. The royal couple will use the occasion to "celebrate Britain’s relationship" with the two countries through an array of engagements. It will be the first time that Charles, 74, has travelled abroad in an official capacity since becoming King.

Guthrie left the NBC News program sometime before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, NBC News disclosed during the broadcast. “By the way, it has been an interesting morning for us. As we said, Savannah left early, she wasn’t feeling great, so she took a COVID test,” said Sheinelle Jones, filling in for Guthrie and her co-host Hoda Kotb, who has been off the show for the past several days for an undisclosed reason. “It came back positive. So, as soon as we found out, she rushed home to rest up. So Savannah, we love you, wishing you a speedy recovery.”

Savannah Guthrie has tested positive for COVID-19. On Tuesday's broadcast of, the 51-year-old anchor began the show at the 7 a.m. hour.

Queen Consort Camilla will be working with the British designer Bruce Oldfield, responsible for making some of Princess Diana’s most emblemantic dresses. Oldfield will be designing the Queen Consort’s gown for King Charles’s coronation, an event that will take place on May 6th, at Westminster Abbey.

Queen Elizabeth requested that King Charles‘ wife be referred to as Camilla, Queen Consort after her son ascended the throne. However, it appears that she received a bit of an updated title.

Camilla, Queen Consort, has made her first public appearance since recovering from another bout of Covid-19 to launch her book project – founded to help people of all generations share a love of reading – as a charity.The project, previously known as The Reading Room after being started as reading lists published on Instagram during lockdown in January 2021, has now become The Queen’s Reading Room. It is hoped it will help boost a global love of literature.

A letter sent by a six year old King Charles to his grandmother has been discovered in a loft in Warwickshire. The letter, sent to Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, on March 15, 1955 reads: “Dear Granny, I am sorry that you are ill. I hope you will be better soon.

King Charles III ignored protestors with “Not My King” signs during a royal engagement Thursday in southeast England.The 74-year-old monarch went to Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire to mark its new status as a city, but when he arrived at the Church of Christ the Cornerstone, he was met with some unfriendly faces.The bright yellow “Not My King” signs didn’t seem to bother King Charles as he shook hands and greeted other members of the public. Around 20 protestors showed up at the venue, according to Daily Express correspondent Richard Palmer.The King is greeted by a crowd of well-wishers and around republican protesters in Milton Keynes.

“Healthy,” “vigorous,” and “fit to serve” were some of the words President Joe Biden’s physician used to describe history’s oldest president after a routine exam Thursday. But Stephen Colbert noted that some of the results aren’t in yet.“Now, here’s the thing,” Colbert said.

King Charles III appeared unfazed on Thursday during an official visit to Buckinghamshire when a small group of protesters held up signs that said "Not my king."  The monarch arrived in his Rolls-Royce to a crowd of mostly well-wishers in Milton Keynes to mark its new designation as a city following Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee last summer.  The king shook hands and spoke with people in the crowd near the Church of Christ the Cornerstone, a video taken by Heart News East showed. Chants of "God save the king" could also be heard.  The near two dozen reported protesters were from a group called Republic, which plans to also protest at his coronation in May, according to People magazine.  In a video obtained by the outlet, Charles can be seen walking past individuals holding "Not my king" signs.
