Siblings dubbed "prolific offenders " have been caged following a burglary in Nottingham. Brothers Robert, 33, and Roy Sisson, 43, broke into a garage on Hollington Road in Bilborough in the early hours of Friday, July 29 2022.
Once inside they snatched an electric bike before fleeing the scene. The homeowner woke up some time later to find that their bike and the padlocks used to secure the garage had been swiped also.
The city west neighbourhood policing and city burglary teams launched a joint investigation into the incident who eventually identified the brothers with help from CCTV footage, reports Nottingham Live.
The pair were arrested and charged with burglary the following day on July 30. Robert Sisson was also charged with a similar burglary that happened on Robins Wood Road, Beechdale, a few weeks earlier, on July 11.
During this event, an e-scooter, tools and washing powder were taken from a garage after Sisson found his way in through an unlocked door. The brothers, both of Graylands Road, Bilborough, appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, where they pleaded guilty to the charges. The brothers were both jailed for four months. They were also each ordered to pay £1,150 in compensation.
