Netflix have announced their October slate of releases and just in time for Halloween, a classic Will Smith horror will be appearing on the streaming platform.Described by Netflix as “a post apocalyptic horror”, the film earned Smith praise on its release for his leading performance in this dystopian story.It continued: “Starring Will Smith as the last living person in New York City, [he’s] desperate to find a cure for the monsters that hide in the shadows.”The film, 2007’s I Am Legend, arrives on Netflix on October 23.Earlier this year, more details of the I Am Legend sequel emerged including news that it would feature a time-jump, as well as re-writing the first film’s original ending.The film’s producer and writer, Akiva Goldsmith, made the revelation during a conversation with Deadline. He explained that The Last Of Us had been a huge inspiration for his plans when it came to the film.“This will start a few decades later than the first,” Goldsman said.
