Now, on a recent trip to Royal Surrey County Hospital’s maternity unit, Kate met one day old Bianca Moran. Kate, who wore a stunning yellow Karen Millen dress for the engagement, was at the hospital to hear more about the holistic support it provides to pregnant women and new mothers to ensure they receive the best possible care throughout and beyond their pregnancies.
During her tour of the hospital, the royal met Bianca’s mother Szilvia Novak, 43, originally from Budapest in Hungary, who asked the princess if she would like to hold the baby while the pair were talking in the hospital’s Special Baby Care Unit. Kate replied: “Am I allowed to?” before a member of staff helped Szilvia pass the baby to her. As she cradled Bianca in her arms, Kate said: “She’s very sweet.” She then returned the baby to Szilvia before continuing her tour of the hospital.
