Britney Spears continues to shed more light on what it was like under the control of her father, Jamie Spears.
As you may recall, the pop star began her mega-successful Piece of Me residency in Las Vegas in 2013, and it ran until 2017. However, she noticeably took a break from the shows from November 9 to December 26, 2014. Most people wouldn’t bat an eye at a singer having time off during a massive residency. Everyone needs some downtime to recuperate now and then — that’s a demanding gig doing that show every night!
According to Britney, though, this wasn’t a normal break — Jamie had forced her into rehab for a month! Why? Because she took some “energy supplements.” In her new memoir The Woman In Me, she said her then-boyfriend Charlie Ebersol introduced her to energy-boosting products to help her get through her rigorous show schedule:

But Charlie gave her these supplements without getting approval from her dad. As fans know, Jamie had been the one to oversee her entire medical care since he was her conservator at the time. So this became a huge problem for Britney! She recalled:
