Britain's Got Talent star Hollie Steel looks worlds away from her appearance on the ITV show 13 years ago. The former child star was just 10 years old when she blew away the judges with her stunning rendition of Phantom of the Opera classic Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again. Appearing on the show's 2009 edition, the youngster sang her heart out in front of Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Amanda Holden.
Despite incredible talent and a stellar singing voice, Hollie struggled with confidence being one of the youngest contestants on the show. As a result, she even burst into tears during the show's live semi-final after forgetting the words to her song on stage. The star eventually came sixth on the popular programme, which returns this weekend in scenes that Ant and Dec said were "emotional" to film. Now 23, Hollie performs on cruise ships and is a far cry from the doe-eyed brunette ballerina who wowed the judges. She often allows her blonde wavy locks to hang natural, and opts for a make-up free look outside of her theatre roles. After her appearance on Britain's Got Talent, Hollie released three albums without a record label, and even starred as Louisa von Trapp in The Sound of Music musical.
She also graduated from London college with a diploma in musical theatre in 2017. Most recently, the performer has been donning curly auburn-haired wigs as Grease favourite Frenchie on board cruise ship Harmony of the Seas. "Eeek jetting off tomorrow for 10 months to my favourite place, Harmony of the Seas.
