Sam Fender has been added to this year's BRITs performers line-up.
Having been nominated for three awards at the ceremony - Artist of the Year, Rock/Alternative Act, and Mastercard Album of the Year - plus winning 2019's Rising Star award, and also nominated in 2020, this will be Sam's first performance on the main show.
“It's beyond a dream to be performing at the BRIT Awards this year" Sam commented, "me and the band are so excited to get up on that stage, it's going to be mega!!”
Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat and Dave have been announced as performers at this year's BRIT Awards 2022.
Also taking to the stage for the UK's biggest night of music will be Liam Gallagher, Little Simz and Rising Star 2022 winner Holly Humberstone.
The night will be Doja's stage debut at the BRITs, where she's garnered two nominations in this year's ceremony. This will be Ed's fourth and Dave's second, since his monumental performance of Black at the awards in 2020.
Earlier this week, it was announced that four brand new categories at the BRITs will be voted for via TikTok, it will be the first time the social platform has powered a UK awards show.
As announced last year, for the first time in 2022, the BRITs are introducing four new genre categories, with the winners to be voted for by the public. The categories in full are: Alternative/Rock Act, Dance Act, Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act and Pop/R&B Act.
The 2022 BRIT Awards hit ITV and the ITV Hub on February 8, where they'll be hosted by Mo Gilligan and include genderless categories for the first time ever.

Spotify streams of Little Simz‘ music have soared over 350 per cent following her appearance at this year’s BRIT Awards.The rapper, who released her last album, ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’, back in September, won the award for Best New Artist at last night’s (February 8) ceremony at London’s The O2. She also performed a medley of her tracks ‘Introvert’ and ‘Woman’.Her massive night has since prompted a huge spike in Spotify streams in comparison to other BRITs winners including Adele, Silk Sonic, Ed Sheeran, Dave and Sam Fender.There was a 812 per cent increase in streams of ‘Introvert’ and a 594 per cent spike for ‘Woman’, equating to a 365 per cent jump overall.Elsewhere, Adele, who took home three BRITs last night (Artist Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year), saw a 137 per cent increase in Spotify streams following the awards, while Dave’s streams went up by 217 per cent. Fender’s music saw a 79 per cent jump.“As ever, the BRITs showed the incredible breadth of talent being fostered here in the UK, across every genre of music,” Tom Connaughton, managing director of Spotify UK and Ireland, said in a statement (via Rolling Stone UK).

Ed Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon opened the BRIT Awards 2022 tonight (February 8) with an unlikely new version of the former’s ‘Bad Habits’.The track was the first single to be taken from Sheeran’s 2021 album ‘=’ and topped the Official UK Singles Chart for 11 consecutive weeks.Taking to the stage to kick off this year’s BRITs, Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon delivered an amped-up version of the hit, complete with an array of dancers, some of whom hung from wires and spun around above the stage. BMTH frontman Oli Sykes put his own spin on the song with his adopted verses delivered in his trademark growl.Sheeran will perform again later in the ceremony.
