A bride-to-be and her sister have appeared in court after attacking an elderly couple in a bizarre fracas over wedding dress material.
Julia Shelley had tasked 79-year-old seamstress Maureen Webb - described in court as a 'family friend' - with making alterations to her wedding dress. Julia and her younger sister, Jessica, went to Ms Webb's home, from where she ran her business, and went upstairs to her sewing room.

Liverpool Crown Court heard the 'tussle' took place when the siblings arrived, after they were said to have been 'unhappy' with the needlework. They tried to grab a bag of materials from the elderly woman and a 'tussle' ensued, the Echo reports, in which both the bride-to-be and dressmaker took hold of the bag. Jessica Shelley, 33, then grabbed both women.
Mr Webb, who was said to be "vulnerable" and disabled, entered after hearing the "commotion" and witnessed his wife falling to the floor before she was able to flee with the bag. Ms Webb was then pursued by 38-year-old Julia, but the husband intervened by taking hold of her wrist.
The defendant reacted by "twisting free from his grip", causing the OAP to fall and hit his arm - scraping his skin away. She then snatched the bag of cloth from Mrs Webb, and both sisters left.
Mr Webb was taken to hospital, where doctors initially feared that he may required a skin graft, although this was not ultimately required. The couple then called the police.
Officers subsequently attended Julia Shelley's home on Crondall Grove in Childwall, Merseyside, and were told by her partner that she was "out for dinner". She
