A man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon following an incident at a property in Tameside.
Police were called to the scene of the incident on Colbourne Grove in Mottram yesterday (Thursday, November 23). A man was taken to hospital from the scene.
David Timperley, of Wembury Walk, Hyde, has now been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the incident. The 50-year-old has been remanded into custody.

He is set to appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court today (Friday). A statement posted on GMP Facebook page said: "#CHARGED | David Timperley (26/04/1973) of Wembury Walk, Hyde, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
"He has been remanded into custody to appear at Tameside Magistrates Court today (Friday 24 November). These charges relate to an incident which took place at an address on Colbourne Grove, Mottram, yesterday (Thursday 23 November)."
