Boyzone star Keith Duffy has delighted a huge fan after she met him outside a bar in the southside of Glasgow.
Melanie McCann Young got an unexpected treat at the weekend when she heard rumours that her favourite band were in the city.
The self-confessed massive fan, from Clarkston, told Glasgow Live she was at home when she received a WhatsApp telling her that the popular Irish band were in Giffnock at a local bar.
Melanie joked that she was at home in her jammies, and had to quickly get ready before managing to persuade her "lovely but not-so-willing" husband to take her along the road to see if she could spot them.
"When I arrived at the bar (CaVa), I spotted Keith outside sitting on a bollard," a delighted Melanie explained. "The folks he was with were calling a taxi so I had just made it."
Melanie then discovered Keith was the only member of the band who was in town, and was eager to get a quick snap with him.
She added: "I explained I was a huge fan. He asked my name, shook my hand and gave me a cuddle. We had a selfie and chatted more about why he was in Glasgow - he said he was visiting friends.
"I thanked him for the pic and wished him a good rest of his night. He was so polite and such a gent."
A very happy Melanie then headed home with a treasured photo and some great memories, joking that she owes her husband for taking her along to meet one of her idols.
