Boy George will be donning his khakis and heading into the Aussie jungle for this year's series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, according to reports. The Karma Chameleon singer, 61, shot to fame in the Eighties with Culture Club and later spent a significant amount of time Down Under, living in Sydney. ITV executives are said to be thrilled by this year's A-list signing and hope the singer will be TV gold in the jungle.
A source said: “Boy George is a real coup for producers, there is a lot of excitement in-house at ITV. They continued to the Sun: “The singer is renowned for his dry wit and frank delivery, he is always outspoken and will be hilarious value in camp. “There is hope that he will regale viewers with his showbiz stories about his famous friends", they said.
Although George is well acquainted with Australia after living in Sydney for several years, "he has no experience of the Outback, so will be like a fish out of water living rough.” the source said. George is vegan so it's believed he won't be forced to eat insects in Bushtucker Trials, and will be given alternatives to meat and fish at meal times. This year, George made an appearance on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and told the pair that the idea of eating meat put him off the show.
He quipped: “Unless you do a vegan version and then I’m in.” In 2016, the singer said that he had turned down the survival series due to strict campmate uniform and its lack of food. “There would be serious clothing restrictions in the jungle", he said, adding that he would have to get "certain hats made" and "couldn’t get over the food". George was close to starring on Celebrity Big Brother, but revealed last year he was talked out of it by his mother Dinah.

The rebrand comes following Amazon’s $8.5 billion acquisition of MGM in March. ‘We have felt for some time that this is the best service that many people have never heard of,” says Michael Wright, who has been president of Epix since 2017 and will now serve as head of MGM+. “Other than individual shows, the service has never been marketed.
