A boy who starred in a milk advert in the 80s has been jailed for life after murdering a man in a brutal assault.
Kevin Spaine, who said the line "Accrington Stanley, who are they?" in the ad as a child, was on Tuesday (February 22) found guilty of murder. He repeatedly punched and kicked Learoy Venner at a flat on Belmont Drive in Anfield last summer.
Spaine, 43, today returned to Liverpool Crown Court to be sentenced, where he was jailed for life with a minimum term of 18 years, reports the ECHO. John Harrison KC, appearing on behalf of the killer, told the court during his sentencing that his client was formerly a "very promising young footballer" and even starred in the famous television ad for the Milk Marketing Board in 1989. Spaine was one of two boys seen in the clip, clad in Liverpool FC kits.

He himself is only briefly sighted on camera, walking through the shot before it focusses on his co-star Carl Rice besides a fridge in the kitchen. The defendant is heard to ask "have you got any lemonade?", to which the other junior footballer replies: "If you want."
As he then pours himself a glass of milk, Spaine reacts by saying: "Milk? Eurgh." His friend tells him: "It's what Ian Rush drinks. He said if I drink lots of milk, when I grow up I'm going to be good enough to play for Accrington Stanley."
Spaine then delivers the now-familiar line "Accrington Stanley, who are they?" before a young Mr Rice, who has gone to a successful career on screen including roles in Coronation Street and Brassic, responds with "exactly". His role in the TV advert had until now been incorrectly credited to "Kevin Staine".

thought Wolf could be David Hasselhoff, Taylor Lautner or Tyler Posey.Of course, the lack of clues might’ve been because the man beneath the Wolf has a very distinct voice. In the end, Wolf was unmasked to be… Michael Bolton! Now you understand the “hero’s welcome” nod, right? Bolton famously sang “Go the Distance” on the soundtrack for Disney’s animated “Hercules.” Obviously, he is even better known for a plethora of other hits, including “When a Man Loves a Woman” and “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.”But alas, he will not be appearing on “The Masked Singer” any further into this season.
