Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt says he has 'no idea' where transfer speculation concerning Declan John and Wrexham has emerged from as he rubbished the rumour.
Last weekend, rumours emerged online linking National League side Wrexham with transfer interest in John this summer and suggested a bid of £500,000 was being lodged. However, Wanderers have not received a bid for the defender, who has two years left to run on his contract at the club.
The 27-year-old joined Wanderers initially on loan in January 2021 from Swansea City on loan. He impressed during that spell and helped the Whites win automatic promotion to League One.

He signed a three-year contract with Wanderers after leaving the Liberty Stadium. John has played 65 times for the club in all competitions and scores seven goals.
John has gone on to become first choice for Evatt's team on the far left hand side of Bolton's defence. He is poised to begin his third campaign with the club shortly.
National League side Wrexham, managed by former Wanderers boss Phil Parkinson and owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, are bidding for a return to the EFL for the first time since 2008. They have invested in the club's playing squad since purchasing the Dragons in late 2020.
When asked about the rumour concerning his defender, Evatt was clear he did not know where the speculation had emerged from as he rubbished the speculation. He said: "No idea. Nothing at all.”
Wanderers are back in action once more in pre-season ahead of the new League One season kicking off at the end of June. Evatt will take his side to Cumbria to take on Carlisle United.
