One of India’s biggest stars has been announced as the first south Asian artist to perform at Manchester’s newest arena Co-Op Live.
Bollywood superstar Arijit Singh will kickstart his 2024 UK tour in Manchester in August this year featuring a night of his biggest hits. Regarded as India’s biggest Playback singer and music composer, Arijit recently became the first non-English singing artist to reach 90 million followers on Spotify - making him the platform’s 3rd most-followed artist globally after Ed Sheeran and Ariana Grande.
Releasing songs in several Indian languages, predominantly Hindi and Bengali, Arijit has sung in movies including Chennai Express and Aashiqui 2. His most streamed songs include Satranga, Apna Bana Le and O Maahi and Chaleya, which became the most streamed song in a day on Spotify India.

Arijit will perform at Co-Op Live on August 11 as part of his Live In Concert tour, with pre-sale beginning on Tuesday (February 20). The tour will also see the superstar perform at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on August 16 and a sold-out show at The O2 Arena in London on August 17.
