Kate Lawler has revealed what members of the public applying for Big Brother will be put through, following ITV's confirmation that the show is returning for the first time in almost five years. The legendary programme is set to return to our screens in 2023 with a brand new house and the public will be playing a crucial role once again, as contestants go through ''clever tasks, nail-biting nominations and live evictions''.

Big Brother will return to screens next year after finding a new home at ITV.The reality TV show aired for 18 years in the UK until it was axed in 2018. Now, following a five-year hiatus, it will return in 2023 on ITV2 and new streaming platform ITVX.The news was announced in a promotional video that aired during the series finale of Love Island on ITV2.A cast of “carefully selected housemates from all walks of life” will live with each other for up to six weeks in the iconic Big Brother house, which has been given a “contemporary new look”.Under constant surveillance, the housemates will take part in a number of tasks and nominations.

Then, in a move of incredible hubris, Joe «Pooch» Pucciarelli volunteered to be a pawn, because he was sure he was solid with everyone in the house, and could easily help get Taylor out.There's a well-known rule in the house: never volunteer to be the pawn, because the pawn goes home.This old adage proved to be true yet again, and the show made no mystery of it at all.
