Britain's Got Talent act Nick Edwards has explained why he was wearing a microphone in the audience on Saturday's emotional episode. During the opening show, Nick was surprised by his kids, who applied on his behalf to perform on the ITV competition, where he was left in "complete shock".
However, eagle-eyed viewers noticed that the contestant was already wearing a microphone on his shirt as they questioned whether Nick knew that the audition was going to take place. Explaining how the surprise audition took place and why he was wearing a microphone on Monday's This Morning, he said: "When we went out for breakfast, my sister-in-law, who works in marketing, she said: 'Oh I've got these free tickets do you want to come and see it? The musician also explained that his family had brought down his guitar for the day and the producers handed it to him after the surprise reveal so he could audition with it.
