The 42-year-old former One Tree Hill actress and Hallmark Channel star shared the news with People that she will be releasing a memoir, and inside, fans will be able to read more about her experience with a religious cult.

The news comes just after Bethany made comments about going through spiritual abuse a few weeks ago.
“There’s a lot to tell,” she shared.
Bethany told the outlet that her cult experience “overlapped” with the time she was on One Tree Hill.
“Recovery looks different for everyone, depending on your experience of trauma,” she added. “I had to start from a baseline of my personal understanding of God and the experiences I had had. And then there was a lot of going back to who I was before and remembering that, and then acknowledging that there was so much I just didn’t know.”
Bethany also shared that writing the memoir has been painful and difficult at times.
“I’m a writer at heart, so turning a phrase is easy for me,” she says. “Exploring the memories, and really facing them, can be challenging — but I’m doing it.”
