Manchester City have reportedly set their sights on Benjamin Pavard and the French defender has hinted he will discuss his future with Bayern Munich this summer.
Reports earlier this week suggested City would turn to the 27-year-old as a potential replacement for Kyle Walker. The current Blues right-back has been in contact with Bayern Munich in recent weeks and is said to have given to go ahead for negotiations to advance.
Pep Guardiola looks to be operating a 'one in, one out' transfer policy in which the Catalan will replace those who wish to move on. Mateo Kovacic arrived just days after Ilkay Gundogan's departure, while centre-back Josko Gvardiol could success Aymeric Laporte.
As such, Walker's potential exit will see City turn their focus to a new full-back and the Guardian reports that Pavard is their number one target. The french international's future has long been the subject of speculation, and his avoidance of a question regarding his plans did little to dispel rumours.

"I was expecting this question," Pavard told French outlet Telefoot in April. "There are currently no talks with the club. We're focused on our season goals.
"I'm just trying to play my best football. We want to win trophies. We'll see this summer."
Pavard's has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Bayern this summer and the German side would not be inclined to lose him on a free transfer next summer. Walker's arrival in Bavaria could push the French international onto the fringes of the squad, opening the door for his departure.
